Biography

As an editor, Alex Geffen has spent over a decade honing his skills, telling gripping and compelling stories through the art of the cut. Guided by the philosophy that the story always comes first, he believes an edit must serve the greater narrative above all else—one of the three rules of editing he lives by while cutting in Hollywood. With his sharp focus, close-knit attention to detail and a keen sense of thematic pacing, Alex brings a balanced, compelling flow to his projects, including the award-winning film Clean Slate. He has been mentored by some of Hollywood’s most prestigious editors, including Hank Corwin, ACE, and Liza Espines, ACE.
